The Ajman dwelt in al-Hasa, Kuwait and up to the Muntafiq in Iraq.
The Ajman were hostile to Ibn Saud’s clan from the nineteenth century until 1919. Parts of the Ajman were evacuated to Zubayr under British control in 1917-1918. Most of the tribe became Ikhwan in the early 1920s. Their leader was Dhidan bin Hithlain. After his death in 1929, he was succeeded by Naif bin Hithlain, who had previously headed the Khudair section.
The Ajman participated in the Ikhwan revolt and lost political power after the Ikhwan’s subjugation in 1929-1930.
