Ibn Saud visited the oil installations in the Eastern Province for the second and last time. The visit which lasted several days involved lavish entertaining by the King, the Governor of al-Hasa and Aramco (the Arabian American Oil Company). Ibn Saud was shown the developments which Aramco had undertaken and the technology they had imported to exploit the region's oil resources. He rightly judged it; "A great enterprise."
