In the course of his visit to Egypt, Ibn Saud granted an audience to a Palestinian delegation, led by Jamal Husaini (a cousin of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem). Ibn Saud re-affirmed his commitment to the Palestinian cause which he deemed to be a matter of concern to all Arab and Islamic states.
