Prince Faisal bin Abdul Aziz undertakes European tour
Prince Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, son of Ibn Saud, led a mission to Europe. Apart from fulfilling the formal diplomatic niceties, it was Prince Faisal's purpose to explore ways of improving the Kingdom's financial status.

Prince Faisal brought with him a copy of Karl S. Twitchell's geological report on Ibn Saud's Kingdom which he handed to the British Government. Then, on his father's instructions, he offered Britain the oil concession for al-Hasa. Responding through the British Embassy in Jeddah, the British Government politely declined the offer.
