Abdul Rahman, Ibn Saud's father, the senior member of the Al Saud, died in his palace in Riyadh.
Abdul Rahman, as Imam, had given his son unswerving support throughout the years in which Ibn Saud had built his Kingdom. His loss was deeply felt by Ibn Saud.
