Ibn Saud aids Amir of Jizan
Ibn Saud aids Amir of Jizan
Jizan was a very small, independent state on the Red Sea, to the north of Yemen. Its capital was Sayba, where the Amir had his seat of government. There had been some friction between the Amir and his Yemeni neighbors. In response to requests from the Amir, Ibn Saud sent first administrative help, and then financial assistance. The Amir was most grateful for Ibn Saud's generosity.
