The Holy City of Madinah surrenders

The Holy City of Madinah fell to Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz, the son of Ibn Saud. For weeks Ibn Saud had been secretly supplying the city with food to save it from the almost certainly dire consequences of surrendering to Faisal Ad-Dawish, the chief of the Mutair tribe and the most extreme of the Ikhwan leaders, who had been in command of the siege.

Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz entered the Prophet's Mosque to pray. Madinah, the second most holy city in Islam, was in the hands of Ibn Saud.
