On his own initiative and without the consent of Ibn Saud, Faisal Ad-Dawish attacked Al-Jahara, a village close to Kuwait. In the attack, many were killed. A Kuwaiti deputation went to Ibn Saud to protest their friendship and were assured by Ibn Saud's reciprocation of words of friendship and confirmation that Faisal Ad-Dawish had acted without his orders or approval.
