After leaving the Al-Murrah, Abdul Rahman set out for Bahrain where Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa took an instant liking to the son of Abdul Rahman, the young Prince Abdul Aziz (Ibn Saud) - a liking which matured into a lifelong friendship.
On leaving Bahrain, the Al Saud went first to Qatar and then to Kuwait where Sheikh Mubarak greeted them with great kindness and hospitality. It was in Kuwait that Abdul Rahman settled with his family.
